The chocolate you choose on purpose.

D’ora [/dɛˈɔrɑː/ (deh-OR-ah)] is crafted from rare heirloom cacao, sourced from the same rainforest farms that supply the world’s most celebrated chocolate makers. No added sugar. No shortcuts. Nothing that shouldn’t be there.

This is what chocolate tastes like when nothing has been taken from it.

The original indulgence

Before chocolate became something to manage, it was simply something to savor.

For centuries, cacao was consumed in its whole form; complex, mineral-rich, and quietly extraordinary. Then came industrial production. Refinement. Sugar by the kilogram. And somewhere in the process, chocolate became a habit rather than an experience.

D’ora was made to return it to what it was.

Every bar begins with Nacional cacao – an heirloom variety nearly lost to commercial agriculture, grown in agroforestry conditions that have remained unchanged for generations. Sweetened with plants. Crafted without compromise.

The result is chocolate that tastes the way fine chocolate always should have.

Not a healthier version of something. The real thing.

The D'ora Difference

Where it begins

Not all cacao tells the same story.

D’ora is made from Ancient Heirloom – one of the rarest cacao varieties in the world, native to the Amazon, and nearly extinct. It cannot be mass-produced. It requires an intact forest ecosystem and generations of agricultural knowledge to cultivate. The farms we source from have been doing exactly that for over a century.

We source directly from the farmers. No intermediaries. No commodity markets.

What arrives in each bar is the result of a very long, very careful chain of decisions. You can taste every one of them.

The Source

Made by someone who understood what was missing

D’ora was created by Dr. Beata Lerman – a biochemist, immunologist and a cancer survivor, who dedicated 23 years to improving health through cancer research.

She knew what good ingredients looked like. She knew what poor ones did. And she knew that the chocolate available to her, even the premium kind, didn’t meet the standard she applied to everything else in her life.

So she built it.

D’ora is the result of that refusal to settle. The science is in the method. The taste is the point.
